At Fairhaven Lodge, caring for residents with dementia whether it be Alzheimer's or any other form, is all we do.
Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning and intellectual reasoning due to changes in the brain caused by disease. Those with dementia tend to repeat questions, become disoriented in familiar places, neglect personal hygiene or nutrition, and/or get confused about people or time. Living with dementia is hard on everyone connected with the sufferer. At Fairhaven Lodge we make every effort to provide care with patience, dignity, respect and reassurance.
Fairhaven Lodge provides personalized care with individual care plans: Input from residents, families and professionals allows for the creation of a care plan in which medical history, likes, dislikes: are all taken into account. Residents are allowed to bring favourite items with them to enhance their comfort, security and sense of being "at home".
Fairhaven Lodge is a signatory to the Lancashire Dignity Charter and has earned the Investors in People Designation. Awarded the Care Quality Commissions highest ratings of "***" 3 stars, Excellent and Fully Compliant, Fairhaven Lodge exceeds the required staff to resident ratio and provides complete care in homely comfortable surroundings.
Fairhaven Lodge also accepts residents directly from hospital depending on needs assessment which can be performed within 24 hours. Please contact the Manager, Ms. Carol Williams to discuss any concerns, to make inquiries and/ or to view the home.
